All our items, including clasps and fittings are made of gold.
We made the choice to work with 9K gold. The factors behind this decision were not just to keep the pricing affordable for our customers, but also because we work with fine chains and bands. The composition of 9K (375) gold is harder than higher carat options. When we sampled both 14K and 9K, we also discovered that our team loved the brightness in color of the 9K.
Diamonds
Luna Rae diamonds are ethically sourced from all around the world. All of our diamonds, large and small, are natural.
Diamonds represent the pinnacle of luxury and sophistication. We believe that when sourced responsibly, the journey of a diamond is truly remarkable. However, when a diamond is recreated in a lab, it loses its rarity and unique connection to the earth.
Natural Gemstones
All stones sold at Luna Rae are natural. With the launch of our birthstones, Luna Rae began working with many of the beautiful gemstones our world has to offer, from the deepest blues of sapphires to the enchanting greens of emeralds. Each stone has its own unique makeup and color range.
Australian Opals
Just a little while ago (around 30-40 million years), the locations of Australian opal mines were covered by the sea. The water seeped through the cracks of the earth and began the long-term formation of opals. So, know that the opal you are looking at has literally been millions of years in the making! Luna Rae is proud to work exclusively with Aussie opals—they are the best in the world, so why wouldn’t we?
